Win Clean at the Pruhealth World Triathlon Grand Final

Win Clean was present at the Pruhealth World Triathlon Grand Final in London between Wednesday 11 and Sunday 15 September 2013, offering education sessions and advice about clean sport to competing athletes, their support staff and spectators at the event.

The event is the pinnacle of the global triathlon calendar, with over 3,000 international competitors and a further 2,000 open age group participants taking part. The 2013 event took place at Hyde Park, in exactly the same location as the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games..

Win Clean was situated in the Expo, in the heart of Hyde Park, where UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) staff and National Trainers were available to provide anti-doping advice and answer any specific questions that athletes, support staff or the general public had about anti-doping practices in the UK.

An interactive education session for over 200 paratriathletes was also hosted at Imperial College London.

UKAD Head of Education and Athlete Support Amanda Batt said: “The PruHealth World Triathlon Grand Final provides a perfect platform to inform and educate international athletes about the inadvertent risks of doping. Throughout the five-day period the Win Clean team was available to provide advice and guidance to all those attending who care about clean sport and need to meet their anti-doping responsibilities.

"We were delighted to work in partnership with the International Triathlon Federation supporting their efforts to protect their sport through the education of its members."

In 2013, the general public were also able to access Win Clean in the Expo to learn about the values and messaging of the campaign. An estimated 300,000 spectators were expected to attend the event.
